| Bio | I was born in Sioux City, Iowa to Alice and Charles Griffin August 7, 1945. Grew up wanting to be a writer. Came from a medical family. My father had a great-aunt who worked for Fox Movie Tone News in NYC. She got me interested in journalism. Received a journalism scholarship. Worked mainly as a newspaper jorunalist but also worked in the travel and transportation industry to give me time to write my books. Am married to Fred C. Ress, Lincoln, Nebraska native who is a former school psychologist and college assistant professor of psychology. We have 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Also have 3 cats. While growing up I was very active in horse-related sports and activities(and still am as time permits.) |
