Nick Pope Quits

01-Dec-2006

When he worked at the Ministry of Defense in the UK, Nick Pope was head of a project that analyzed UFO reports from 1991-94, and he published several books about the reports that led to his realization that UFOs are real. He has now resigned from the MoD, in order to devote more time to his private UFO investigations. This weekend, subscribers can listen to an interview with him by Whitley, who met him personally when he toured the UK for Communion.

The UK website This is London quotes Pope as saying that the project he once ran is now "virtually closed" down, leaving the country "wide open" to aliens. He says, "The consequences of getting this one wrong could be huge…If you reported a UFO sighting now, I am absolutely sure that you would just get back a standard letter telling you not to worry. ''Frankly we are wide open—if something does not behave like a conventional aircraft now, it will be ignored. The X-Files have been closed down."

He mentions one report of a "vast, triangular-shaped craft" that was seen flying over a military base, in which "most of the witnesses were police and military personnel. Hundreds of members of the public also had sightings over a period of several hours." In his interview with Whitley, he discusses some of the reports he studied about triangle- shaped craft. Several years ago, the National Institute of Discovery Sciences made a special study of triangular-shaped UFOs, which are often seen near air force bases, and came to the conclusion that they are secret military aircraft.
