With
psychic messages, is seeing really believing? Intuition may tell us

One
day, Nita Lee got a $300 check in the mail.
Then
she got a phone call from a man with a California shipbuilding company who sent
it. "Can you see the ozone? he asked.
"I
started laughing, Lee said. "I said, I've never tried that.'
But,
Lee told him, "I can see just about anything I want to see. The ozone,
she said, "is breaking up. I don't know what that means.
Lee
calls herself a psychic. The Edmond woman says she "sees things all
the time. Underground oil deposits, for instance. They're sinking, she said, "down
toward the center of the Earth. She even sees things when she's talking
on the telephone with cynical reporters.
"You've
been worried about somebody having a cold or being sick.
"You
hate to finish up loose ends.
"Right
now, you're being pressured about either going somewhere or something.
Lee
has had an office in Edmond for decades, where she still does readings
but not as many as she used to do. Clients ask her how to deal with others who
claim to have psychic abilities. Make sure they "come from a Christian direction,
Lee tells them. "Make sure they have a Bible in the house.
There
are good and bad entities, Lee said. "Sometimes I feel like there might be
some bad entities around on something that doesn't want me to look at a particular
thing.
More
reporter readings occur.
"You
cry kind of easily. You're a little emotional.
"When
you were 8 or 9 years old, you had to be pulled to a cemetery, and you had a hard
time breathing.
"You
swallowed a lot of water when you were 11 years old.
Every
living thing can sense things, she said. "You guys call it gut feeling.'
Women call it intuition,' she said. "Animals, it's instinct.
If
reincarnation exists, Lee said, maybe she once was a sibyl, a Greek prophetess.
She
helped with the investigation of the first World Trade Center bombing, she said,
and she could tell when a major earthquake was going to strike San Francisco.
"I didn't miss a thing, she said.
"You
played with spirits when you were 3 or 4 years old.
"When
you were 5 years old, you could hear a knock on the door, probably before anybody
got there.
"You
hurt your right arm when you were about 6 or 7.
Few
of the things Lee sees about me ring a bell. Many don't even seem to make much
sense. But that's just my gut feeling.
