The
Second Coming of Jesus will be on a White Horse not in a UFO by
Stephen Yulish PhD
There
is a statement that Jesus said to the unbelieving Jews 2000 years ago that also
applies to many people interested in UFOs today.
"I
have come in My Father's name and you do not receive Me; if another shall come
in his own name you shall receive him. How can you believe, when you receive honor
and fame from one another and you do not seek the glory that is from the one and
only God?" (John 5:43-44). What
does this have to do with UFOs in this post modern world of ours (see my article
on Deconstructing UFOs in this Post Modern World, UFO Digest, January 29, 2008)?
Why should anybody care what Jesus had to say 2000 years ago? After all, the zeitgeist
of today is that 'everything is possible and nothing is certain'. The accepted
wisdom is that the word of the cross is foolishness (1 Corinthians 1:18). But
what if, just what if, the word of the cross is not foolishness but is instead
the power of God? What if these so called extraterrestrials are rather fallen
angels, evil spirits and demonic entities which are discussed in the Bible (Genesis
6:2-4, Ephesians 6:12, 2 Peter 2:4, Jude 6)? That is what Jesus was speaking to.
People will reject Him and the truth but will accept ETs many of whom come in
his name, with open arms. They would rather accept a lie than the truth. That
is because people do not want to give up their sins. I sure did not. They felt
too good. I also wanted to find so called Gnostic truth on my terms, in my way
and still maintain control. It is hard to let go and let God be in control. As
I have discussed before (My Early Descent into the Spirit World of Darkness and
my Later Ascent into the Godly World of Light, UFO Digest, February 7, 2008) I
fought this surrendering of my will with tooth and nail. I wanted to be the captain
of my ship and I did not need any help or criticism, thank you very much. Many
people do not want to accept the truth of the redeeming power of Jesus Christ
to forgive sins and give eternal life (John 3:16) but would rather believe that
their Savior and Messiah is from a distant planet of the gods and comes to earth
on a spaceship. It will love and accept them unconditionally and rid them of all
their problems (global not personal). They still can call it christ or jesus if
they so desire but it is a false Christ as we have seen. As you can readily see,
I do acknowledge that UFOs/ETs exist but I disagree with the conventional wisdom
as to what they really are. But there are consequences to these deceptive beliefs
and we must not minimize them. The Bible warns us about falling for the trickery
of these so called extraterrestrials. "One
who is coming is in accordance with the activity of Satan with all power and signs
and false wonders and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish
because they did not receive the love of truth so as to be saved. For this reason,
God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they might believe what is
false in order that they may be judged who did not believe the truth but took
pleasure in wickedness" (2Thessalonians 2:9-12). Again
in Matthew 24:23-24 Jesus said "If anyone says to you, behold here is the
Christ, or there He is, do not believe him. For false Christ and false prophets
will arise and will show you great signs and wonders, so as to mislead even the
elect. As I have
written about earlier (The Upcoming Great Deception, UFO Digest, December 15,
2006), those people left behind in the rapture or the catching away of the church
to be with Jesus in the clouds (1 Corinthians 15:52, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
will be deceived to believe than that they were abducted by UFOs. According
to many current UFO Digest articles, these extraterrestrial entities will be coming
bringing peace and may even all themselves jesus or yahweh or the elohim. Once
again the Bible warns us. "While
they are saying peace and safety, then destruction will come upon them suddenly
like birth pangs upon a woman with child and they shall not escape.saying peace,
peace and there is no peace" (1 Thessalonians 5:3, Jeremiah 6:14). Many
of these same articles speak of a "New Age" beginning in 2012 when the
Mayan calendar ends. There will be special "pow wows" and commemorations
as the dawn of this new age approaches. There is talk of "more ethical extraterrestrials
that will be "officially declared to the world at the United Nations in 2013"
because they "do not pose a military threat to the world". There is
talk of this false "christ" on the planet Nibiru along with the extraterrestrial
entity called "yahweh" and the heavenly "elohim". These extraterrestrials,
i.e. fallen angels, are said to be "far more technologically advanced than
we are." Some say that they even have had a "permanent presence among
us throughout the history of mankind." It is said by some that "we were
created in their image". It is said that "they have been patiently assisting
us in our development all these millennium". According to them, there is
no Hades or Heaven and we are made to believe that Jesus and Muhammad are just
helpful prophets all sent by the same creator. Why
do people believe such lies but reject the truth? Why are people so concerned
about the end of the Mayan calendar but could care less about the end times discussed
in the Bible? It is because, as I said before, they do not want to give up their
sins. They do not want to give up control for their lives to a righteous God.
None of us wants
to change our behavior especially if it feels good. None of us wants to admit
that we have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and need to repent and
change. We would rather believe that some ET will come and bring us peace and
happiness and we will not need to change. We would rather have our savior come
from a distant planet than from the right hand of a loving yet righteous God in
heaven. We would rather think of Jesus as a baby in the manger or as a sacrificial
lamb dying for us on the cross than as the Lion of Judah (Revelation 5:5) who
will return in His Second Coming to judge the nations and all the unbelievers.
We might not
be so quick to dismiss His power and judgment if we knew the following. "When
the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming
fire dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do
not obey the Gospel of our Lord Jesus. And these will pay the penalty of eternal
destruction away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power"
(2Thessalonians 1:7-10). Many
UFO Digest writers speak glowingly of the writings of Enoch as they apply to so
called extraterrestrial Watchers, but few take seriously what Enoch said about
the Second coming of Jesus: "Enoch
prophesied, saying the Lord came with many thousands of His holy ones to execute
judgment upon all, and to convict all the ungodly of their ungodly deeds which
they have done in an ungodly way and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners
have spoken against Him" (Jude 14 and 15). The
Apostle John wrote in his Revelation of the return of Christ. "And I saw
heaven opened and behold a white horse and He who sat upon it is called Faithful
and True and in righteousness He judges and wages war. And His eyes are a flame
of fire. He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood and His name is called the
Word of God. And the armies which are in heaven clothed in fine linen white and
clean were following Him on white horses. From His mouth comes a sharp sword so
that He might smite the nations and He will rule them with a rod of iron and on
His robe and on His thigh it says King of Kings and Lord of Lords" (Revelation
19:11-16). 'And
Christ will reign for a thousand years' (Revelation 20:6) "God
highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name and
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow.and every tongue should confess
that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father" (Philippians 2:9-11).
Therefore in
the midst of this end time UFO deception and the soon return of Jesus Christ to
judge the unbelieving nations, you all need to "work out your salvation with
fear and trembling" (Philippians 2:12). |
