Why
the secrecy on North American partnership?
LISA GREEN
In
March 2005, President Bush and the leaders of Canada and Mexico signed into agreement
the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America.
This
agreement, which was signed without the knowledge or consent of Congress or the
American people, is suspected as the foundation of a North American Union similar
to the European Union. Except for CNN's Lou Dobbs, there is a blackout from the
mainstream media concerning this vital issue. The meeting place of the leaders'
recent talks in Quebec was surrounded by a 15-mile security parameter. If Bush
and the Mexican and Canadian leaders have nothing to hide, then why the secrecy?
The
partnership calls for the economic, political and military integration of the
three nations. It would, in essence, take away our sovereignty.
What
would happen to the Bill of Rights and our Constitution? They would become null
and void, with the future of all our freedoms in jeopardy.
One
can go to www.spp.gov and see that their proposed agenda demands nothing short
of a centralized government of the three countries. Please go to www.jbs.org
for information on what we as concerned citizens can do to hinder this assault
on America.
