UFO
sighting causes stir in Florida, Arizona SAINT
AUGUSTINE, Florida and PHOENIX, Arizona - Hundreds of people claimed to have seen
a UFO near Saint Augustine, Florida last weekend. The
images were caught on tape by several people. Rumors
began to fly when the local airport and air force base said they had nothing to
do with the lights. But, one woman said the unidentified objects may have come
from her wedding reception. At the Asian themed party, life-size hot air balloons
were released around the same time as the UFO sightings. She said the 'sky lanterns'
can rise nearly 5,000 feet and travel for miles. Another
UFO sighting happened in Phoenix around the same time, caused residents and officials
to question what they were looking at. The local airport said they saw the lights,
but nothing showed up on the radar, which means it wasn't an aircraft. A Phoenix
police helicopter also saw the lights from the air, and couldn't explain them. One
local prankster said he can. The man, who won't identify himself, said he released
helium balloons with flares attached as hoax. |
