Just
more than 100 miles from where I grew up, several folks reported seeing something
in the evening skies lately. Something that may not be from another universe,
but its definitely an unidentified flying object a UFO.
Even
Mr. Larry King interviewed some UFO observers from Stephenville, Texas, on his
Friday night show. Who in the world can you believe if you cant believe
the guests on Larry King Live ?
Stephenville
is a farming / ranching town in west central Texas. Although Ive never met
any of the good people interviewed the other night, I would vouch for their honesty
in a heartbeat. They are all convinced that they saw something in the sky Jan.
8. It spent some time just kind of parked over their town. They didnt even
call it hovering since thats what you usually hear from people
insistent that they saw a spaceship filled with curious aliens. A Stephenville
pilot, business owner and county commissioner all described the object as
huge and silent. After a short while, it took off at a tremendous speed.
So
many of the area residents saw it, that they began talking about it. They called
the closest military bases, airports, the state and federal offices hoping to
find out what they had seen. No one has given them an answer. Still, each observer
interviewed has said that they know they saw something and they want to know what
it was. There were no accusations of government cover-ups from the people in Stephenville.
They, of course, have had lots of ribbing. Theyve been called crackpots
and crazies. Those who saw the object just laugh and say they understand that
some people think its a hoax, but they know its not.
Some
townspeople are considering the incident funny. On the marquee of a restaurant
in Stephenville: Martians Eat Free. Others consider the reports silly and embarrassing.
But those who watched whatever it was in the Stephenville sky a few days ago,
say theyre not bothered by the skeptics. Not even the Tarleton State University
students who made themselves tin-foil hats and sat on the Erath County square
guarding Moola, a statue of a cow, have affected the two dozen or so who saw the
gigantic, nighttime object in the sky. Who knows what it was in Stephenville,
Texas ? None of those who saw it was afraid. They were all fascinated. Maybe it
will park for a while over a northwest Arkansas community soon. Wouldnt
you love to see it ?
