says 'The X-Files' was 'better than the Beatles'

Washington,
October 3: 'The X-Files' star David Duchovny is such a huge fan of his sci-fi
television series that he considers it to be "better than the Beatles".
The
Emmy Award-winning 1990s show starred Duchovny as FBI agent Fox Mulder alongside
Gillian Anderson, who played another investigator Dana Scully.
The
two characters appear investigating unusual incidents linked to paranormal activity
in the programme, which ran from 1993 to 2002.
Duchovny
strongly believes that the amount of popularity the programme got during its broadcasting
period was far more than the fame that 'The Beatles' would have enjoyed in their
heyday.
"Come
on - we were better than the Beatles. They went from 1962 to 1970 - eight years.
They couldn't even make it to a ninth year, like us. There was a lot of intense
interest in The X-Files. And that was a time before everyone was famous,"
Contactmusic quoted him as saying.
