A
new video has emerge of the Texas UFO sighting that was reported near Stephenville,
Texas. Meanwhile the US Military, who once told those that claimed to have witnessed
the event that they weren't in the area, says that they just remembered and they
did have a whole bunch of F-16's in the sky on the night of January 8.
This
is par for the course for sightings like these. It almost always seems as if the
first thing out of authorities is to lampoon the witnesses. They will tell them
that it was only the light playing tricks on their eyes, a weather balloon is
to blame or it was swamp gas in the desert. Then if the sighting becomes so big
that it is newsworthy on a national level, there is usually a later revelation
that yes, the military was up working in the area on that night and they just
remembered.
The
video that has been released is here and looks quite strange. It is hard to tell
what it is and could easily be a hoax. There have been approximately ten released
now along with dozens of photos but none of them have been very clear and few
have been helpful. Initial reports claimed many witnesses had believed they had
witnessed "lights in the sky" that they couldn't identify.
Next,
several say they saw two F-16's chasing those lights. The US Military said that
was ridiculous as they had nothing in the area that night. Now they have changed
their story. they said 10 F-16s were there that day. The officials said they were
mistaken and wanted to set the record straight in the interest of public
awareness. Maj. Karl Lewis had said earlier this month that residents might
have seen an illusion caused by two commercial airplanes and reflections from
the setting sun.
