Grows Bigger with Stephenville UFO Sightings

UFOs are seeing over Texas
There
is a place to report the sightings of UFOs. Texas is known for big things. When
we think of Texas we usually think of cowboys, country music & its food. But
lately Texas is known for UFO's!
According
to The Associated Press more than a dozen people in Stephenville, Texas have claimed
to see a UFO last week around January 8th . The UFO was described as a large object
moving fast and low to the ground. The craft was said to be covered with flashing
lights. Some even say it was being chased by fighter pilots.
Official
reports from the Joint Reserve Base Naval Air Station in Fort Worth & Dyess
Air Force Base state that no planes from their base were in the area the night
of January 8th.
A
spokes man from the Joint Reserve Base Naval Air Station in Fort Worth says that
it all could have been an illusion from two commercial airplanes. Major Karl Lewis
says that the lights on an airplane may seem brighter and orange from the setting
of the sun.
But
those who saw the UFO disagree. Ricky Sorrells, who is a mechanic says the object
he saw was a flat metallic object. He saw it hovering over his pasture. Others
explain that it was flying too low to the ground, too quiet and too big to be
an airplane.
Texas
is not alone in the recent UFO sightings. The National UFO Reporting Center shows
that in Dec. 2007 they received many reports from Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North
Carolina, Massachusetts & even Vermont. People reported seeing an object that
was visible for 45mins at each of those locations.
One
report from Georgia describes the object sighted with binoculars. The object was
bright and looked like a comet. They say the object was white and moved up and
down and side to side all at the time. The man who reported it says he had never
seen anything like it.
The
UFO center says from past reports they think it was what is called a "spent
rocket" which was parked in high orbit. During this excess oil is released
from the fuel tanks which results in a glowing comet affect.
Another
recent report was made on November 28th by a man and his wife. He called the National
UFO Report Center to say him and his wife saw something while driving down the
highway near the San Diego area. They saw a weird shaped object that had three
blue lights on its side. The object came down in Camp Pendleton and continued
west & on down towards the ocean.
They
were not the only witnesses. They say that several other cars slowed down to watch
it too. The National UFO Report Center says they are welcome to any other reports
from this alleged sighting.
So
what does all this mean? Should we worry about a "War of the Worlds"
or do you just think people are going crazy? That is the fun when it comes to
UFOs. So stop watching tv, your loved one and head outside & look up into
the stars. You never what you'll find.
