at Makhosini High School have implicated one another in a bizarre tale witchcraft. It
is alleged an that attempt by some teachers to ‘bewitch’ a colleague
backfired when the ‘witch’ turned out to be the teacher’s relative. The
names of the teachers will not be revealed. Sources
said three teachers travelled to the Lubombo region to consult with the ‘witch’,
who happened to be a prophet. On
arrival they related their mission, giving details about the subject of their
visit. They also told the said prophet, sources said, that if the teacher, a female,
was removed, their lives would be safe. It is said there is strong suspicion of
witchcraft among the teachers at the school. Instead
of helping the trio, the 'witch' is said to have told his guests to return at
a later date while he prepared his magic potion. The targeted teacher is also
from Lubombo. The 'witch' went behind his clients to alert his relative. confirmed Although
this could not be confirmed, it has been gathered that the matter was reported
to the police but could not be recorded because of its bizarre nature. The
teacher declined to comment without permission from her husband, however she expressed
knowledge of the matter. protect The
principal, Gideon Ndzinisa, preferred to protect his institution from embarrassment
and said his role as administrator did not cover matters of witchcraft. The
teacher’s relatives are said to be taking up the matter with other unspecified
