Stephenville,
Texas UFO Revealed?
US
military officials are now saying that they did have fighter jets on a routine
training mission in the area of Stephenville, Texas on January 8th, the night
dozens of residents report seeing weird lights in the sky that they thought was
a UFO. The military had originally said that they did not have any jets in that
area, that night, but are now changing their story.
The
Naval Air Reserve Base in Forth Worth, Texas is now saying that 10 F-16 fighter
jets, made by Lockheed Martin, were training in the area around Stephenville,
which is about 70 miles southwest of the base.
Despite
this information, many of the witnesses are sticking to their beliefs. In fact,
many of those who witnessed the strange event in the skies over Stephenville say
that this is proof that they saw something extraordinary, since most of the witnesses
claim to have seen fighter jets chasing the object that they saw.
"This
supports our story that there was UFO activity in that area," Kenneth Cherry,
the Texas director of the Mutual UFO network, said. "I find it curious that
it took them two weeks to 'fess up. I think they're feeling the heat from the
publicity."
The
witness in Stephenville insist that what they saw traveled lower, faster and quieter
than anything they have ever seen on earth.
"I
guarantee that what we saw was not a civilian aircraft," Steve Allen, a pilot
and local business owner, said Wednesday.
Allen
also insists that the training area for jets in the Brownwood Operating Area is
not the airspace in which he saw the object.
Another
local business owner, Anne Frazor, said that many of the residents of the town
have seen military aircraft in their area before, but that what they saw on January
8th was not the same.
Since
the original reporting of the possible UFO sighting several weeks ago, the small
town of Stephenville, Texas, that has a population of 17,000, has grown very large
with those looking to catch a glimpse of what some claim to have seen.
