Actors
preparing for a performance in Nottingham's Galleries of Justice have been plagued
by "ghostly appearances" during rehearsals.
Desecration,
a collaboration between theatre company Foolish People and events company Fright
Nights, takes place next month.
A
number of performers claim to have witnessed paranormal activity in the 400-year-old
building, reputed to be one of the most haunted places in Nottingham.
Several
say they have felt cold or sick and one claims to have seen a ghostly figure walking
into an ancient cave system beneath the former court house.
Martin
Jeffrey, director of Fright Nights, said: "With so much history it's not
surprising the performers have seen ghostly activity."
Desecration
takes place from Thursday to Sunday next week.
During
the two-hour performance, the audience is able to roam the courtrooms, prisons
and caves and become part of the play.
Tickets
are £16. Call 0114 251 3232 or book online at www.frightnights.co.uk
