While
Swift Current and Saskatoon continue to deal with the brunt of the storm this
morning - Regina and Moose Jaw remain relatively safe...for now.
Snow,
blowing snow, strong winds and dropping temperatures. Just a taste of what Regina
and Moose Jaw can expect from the current blizzard warning.
Mike
McDonald with Environment Canada says the worst of the winter weather will invade
our area by the noon hour, with Moose Jaw feeling the effects first. McDonald
adds given the way the storm system is tracking...there is a possibility that
we will not experience much of in the way of snow but the winds will pick up and
the temperature is expected to plummet throughout the day.
McDonald
believes the worst of the system to be in the open prairies, creating reduced
visibility. He also expects sheltered surroundings around Regina to shield us
to a certain degree.
