RCMP

CARMANVILLE,
N.L. - RCMP are investigating after a Carmanville, N.L., resident received counterfeit
Canada Post money orders through the mail.
The
complainant had arranged the $500 sale of an item over the Internet with a buyer
in France late last year.
Several
weeks later a letter came along with three money orders worth $2,400 and instructions
to cash them and wire the difference to a bank account in Paris.
Police
say the fake money orders were very professional looking.
