As
might be expected, the owner at the small Psychic Experiences shop had a premonition
something bad was about to happen to her signs.
And
at about 10 p.m. Monday night it did an arsonist lit Sarina Evans' sign,
"Tarot card reading $20" on fire.
The
tarot card sign and an "Open" sign burned quickly and were completely
destroyed, causing $150 in damage at the small shop at 3770 Grove St., said Evans,
who is 34.
"I
kind of had a feeling I needed to do something with the signs but I didn't really
do anything," Evans said this morning. "Sometimes I have a feeling and
don't act on them."
It
was a discouraging mishap during a period when business has been slow, she said.
A
police report says the "relationship" between the victim and the suspect
or suspects is unknown. No arrests have been made.
On
occasion, Evans' psychic gift can help in discerning who is responsible, but not
this time, she said. Her website advertises that "gifted psychics will help
in all matters."
"Sometimes
I have an inclination," she said. But this time, she said, "I just think
it was some kids."
