Witchcraft
or Political Prank?
Employees
speak out
WESLACO
- Pictures of black candles in the office of County Commissioner Sylvia Handy
have surfaced. While some say its witchcraft, Handy says it's all a setup.
NEWSCHANNEL
5 spoke to one of Handy's employees.
She
did not want to be identified because she says she's afraid of Handy. But she
tells us the commissioner openly practices witchcraft and uses it to intimidate
her employees.
In
the pictures, black candles, which are often associated with witchcraft, can be
seen set up inside Handy's office.
The
candles have names of ex-employees, political rivals, and even a former mayor
written on them.
NEWSCHANNEL
5 tried to find Handy at her office, but she was not there. She didn't return
any of our phone calls.
However,
several employees at Handy's office did tell us they never saw any candles and
think it's politically motivated.
NEWSCHANNEL
5 was finally able to track down Handy outside her home. She told us it was all
a set up because she is up for re-election.
Handy
has changed the locks on her office and plans on filing charges as soon as she
finds out who took the pictures.
