Lands On Colorado Golf Course, Pilot Survives And Walks Away
Centennial,
CO (AHN) -- A pilot with single-engine plane landed on a golf course and walked
away from the mishap according to Douglas County sheriff's officials said.
The
pilot however was transported to a nearby hospital to undergo medical treatment.
According
to the pilot, he was trying to land his single-engine Cessna 180 at Centennial
Airport but began experiencing some engine trouble. The next thing he knew, ended
up in the middle of a golf course.
The
plane suffered some damage and the National Transportation Safety Board is now
investigating the incident.
The
name of the pilot is still being withheld. Sheriff's officials said he was in
his late 70's.
