TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, THE PRIME MINISTER OF CANADA AND ALL LEADERS OF THE WORLD:

WE THE PEOPLE are fed up, discouraged and outraged by the high price of gasoline that we are forced to pay at the pumps in order to earn a living and to enjoy life. We The People - the voters and the voice of the world respectfully call on the leaders of the world to bring down the price of gasoline at the pumps, and to look for in a timely fashion, alternative energy for transportation vehicles, that would not only cost less for "We The People" but would also help to eliminate the present CO2 emissions that are going into our atmosphere and contributing to Global Warming. The fact that for every gallon of gasoline that is burned, we are putting 20 pounds of CO2 into the atmosphere is no longer acceptable.

WE THE PEOPLE demand that the automobile manufacturers and with the drilling and refining of fossil fuel be held responsible for the amount of pollution that they have been directly or indirectly responsible for getting into the environment.

WE THE PEOPLE also demand that companies and industry that pollute our environment also be identified and fined for their acts and that tighter regulations be imposed so that WE THE PEOPLE will have the God given right to live on this planet for generations to come.

And living in BC, Canada, I don't understand why we have to pay the high prices cuz the petroleum is piped right thru to Kamloops and I am in Vernon, BC, 45 minutes from Kamloops and the price is higher here than in Kelowna which is 2 1/2 hours from Kamloops where you'd think there would be more travelling charges incurred. Go figure hey!!! It's just GREED, PLAIN AND SIMPLE GREEEEEEED. I know so cuz I have relatives at 2 Huge Oil plants, Shell and Petro Canada, both in Alberta, and they both told me in Feb, how much money they had made this past year. Millions, Millions and Millions...
so you can see how I have come to say it's G R E E D!!! I mean, this way they all get to continue eating Steak and Lobster with a fine bottle of Wine and it's at all of us as Drivers, Expense.

After all the Pipeline runs from Alberta to Kamloops BC, therefore leaving very little travelling to the Okanagan. It's 45 Minutes from Kamloops to Vernon and 1 Hr and 15 Minutes from Kamloops to Kelowna. So how can they (Gov't) keep on saying it's shipping costs. What a crock. Sorry.... I have an Uncle who works for Petro Canada and a Cousin who works for Shell, both Plants in Alberta. They say there is no need for the Gas prices to be this High, especially with the Millions of dollars is surplus they made last year.
It's crazy. I wish all of Canada would Boycott for one day and do NO DRIVING, and NO GAS PURCHASES, except Emergency vehicles of course. Meaning also that all Employers would shut down too so no one has to go no where. And any Hospital/Police etc all do the Car Sharing thing so hardly any vehicles on the roads. Just a thought.
